In health sector the department has provided medical equipment in all the 4 district Hospitals, 5 Community Health Centres, 34 Primary Health Centres and 116 Sub- Centres  totalling  up to 159 Health Centres. Besides, the department has also constructed buildings for health care and conducted Medical Camps all across Eastern Nagaland.

Since 2011-12, DUDA has been providing Special Grant to the students of six backward tribes of Eastern Nagaland, where many students have benefitted from this programme.
