Infrastructure deficit is a major concern in Eastern Nagaland. Improving connectivity and strengthening infrastructure are two important preconditions for social and economic development. Since road connectivity is a major deficit in the Eastern region, the department has connected unconnected villages, constructed culverts, retaining walls and built bridges over the years.
Lack of good road has hampered the growth and development of every sector in Eastern Nagaland. Investments have to be made in road development to facilitate social transformation.
